7/29/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Robert Belmont, Joey Roberts, Scoter Buck and I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!! The weather was Storms Ruff Water 4’ Waves, not good for Black Bay and Breton Sound, but we were there. We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom.
Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Robert Belmont was Hooked up on a Monster Bull Redfish after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the rig he landed the BEAST, the Monster Bull Redfish all of 37” long and 19lbs.
Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Joey Roberts turn he was Hooked up on a Monster Bull Redfish after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the rig and out of the motor he landed the BEAST, the Monster Bull Redfish all of 38.5” long and 20lbs.
Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Scoter Buck turn he was Hooked up on a Bull Redfish after a 10+minuet struggling he landed another one for the GRILL, the Bull Redfish all of 27” long. Everyone had caught one of these Drag Screaming fighting Bull Redfish!!!
It was on to Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4lbs.

Be safe on the water there are water spouts and its is hot when some looks a little pale and not feeling just right, give them lots of fluid and get out of the ruff water you can always fish another Day leave them biting!!!

Another Successful day on the Water!!!

We caught
3 Bull Redfish (37” long 19lbs)(38.5” long and 20lbs)(27” long and ready for the GRILL)
14 Speckled Trout

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy Thunder Storms and Water Spouts
Winds = 20+
Waves = 2’ to 4’
Water Temp = 80 Degrees
Water = 1’ Visibly

7/28/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Ted and Son Will George, Friends Gibson and Connor Mccullar and I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Gibson Mccullar was Hooked up on a Monster Bull Redfish after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the rig he landed the BEAST, the Monster Bull Redfish all of 43” long and 30lbs. This was one hungry Bull Red!!! Next Wham!!! Connor Mccuar was next with a Monster Bull Redfish ZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Another good fight but he made it to the GRILL!!! Will George was busy with the Trout!!! Trout!!! Trout!!! Another Successful Day on The Water!!!
Then it was on Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4lbs Class.
We caught
3 Bull Redfish (43” long 30lbs, another 33” long, and one more 30” long)
40 Speckled Trout (3lbs to 4lbs Class)

Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = 20+
Waves = 2’ to 4’ Ruff White Caps!!!
Water Temp = 80 Degrees
Water = 1’ Visibly

7/27/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

JA Cates, Happy Birthday to Stephen Kruse and I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
The weather was calm with no waves no tide just slick as a Mirror, perfect for Black Bay and Breton Sound. We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! We all were Hooked up on Sharks Released 7 of them and some lady fish!!! Then it was on to Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4.5lbs. Non stop action!!! The Big Girls were ON!!!

We caught
69 Speckled Trout

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = Calm 5-10
Waves = 1’
Water Temp = 79 Degrees
Water = 1’ Visibly

Taylor Freeman, Josh Rivet, Fritz Carville, Jeff Frostholm and I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Taylor Freeman, Fritz Carville, Jeff Frostholm all were Hooked up on a Monster Bull after a 20+minuet struggling, all 3 Bull Redfish made it to the Grill. Then it was on to Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4lbs. Another Successful day on the Water!!!

40 Speckled Trout (3lbs to 4lbsCLASS)

7/21/5005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Harold Moreland, Joey Moreland, Brennan O’Connor and I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
The weather was ruff and not good for Black Bay and Breton Sound. We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Brennan O’Connor was Hooked up on a Monster Jack Carvalle after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the Anchor and the trolling motor he landed the BEAST, the Jack all of 25.5+lbs (Released to Fight Another Day).
Then Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Joey Moreland was Hooked up on a Monster Bull redfish after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the Propeller he landed the BEAST, the Monster Bull Redfish 40”long and all of 25lbs. Next was Harold Moreland was hooked up ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! I tightened his drag and there was no stopping this one it pulled out all of the line and broke it off at the hook!!!
Then it was on to Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4lbs. We were using Live shrimp under a Cajun thunder cork in 2’ of water in some of the areas.
ALSO THANKS TO JULIE BAUDIER COPELAND FOR REFERING HAROLD MORELAND and his fishing team to go on this fishing trip with me; we had a great time.
We caught
1 Bull Redfish (40” long about 25lbs)
12 Speckled Trout
1 Jack Crevalle (25.5lbs Released to Fight Another Day)

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = 25 miles per hour out of the East
Waves = 2’to 3’
Water Temp = 79 Degrees
Water = 6” Visibly (Poor)

7/20/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Toby and Son Colin Wallis I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
The weather was calm with no waves no tide perfect for Black Bay and Breton Sound. We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Colin Wallis was Hooked up on a Monster Bull Redfish after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the anchor and propeller he landed the BEAST, the Monster Bull Redfish all of 38” long and about 21.5+lbs. This was one hungry Bull Red!!! Then it was on to Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4lbs. We were also using Live shrimp under a Cajun thunder cork in 2’ of water.
Another successful day on the water!!!

We caught
1 Bull Redfish (38” long about 21.5+ lbs)
19 Speckled Trout

Winds = 10
Waves = 1’

7/4/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Darryl & Beth Fury I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!

The weather was windy, slow tide too ruff for Black Bay and Breton Sound. We stopped at several of my other Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom.
Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Beth Fury was Hooked up on a Monster STING RAY after a 1 HOUR AND 10+MINUTES struggling to keep him off of the Bottom between Beth and her husband fighting it brought him to the surface we were thinking about scallops but the sting ray was so graceful they wanted to let him go!!! (Released to Fight Another Day) This stingray was as big as the ones I snorkeled with in Grand Cayman Island at stingray city!!! Then it was on to Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 6lbs.
Another Successful and Safe day on the Water!!!

We caught

30 Speckled Trout (The Dude and a 6lb Speckled Trout!!!)
2 Southern Flounders
1 Monster 5’ in Diameter Sting Ray (Released to Fight Another Day)

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy and running from Thunder Storms all day!!!
Winds = WEST 10-20
Waves = 1’to 2’
Water Temp = 80 Degrees
Water = 1’ Visibly

7/3/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Liz & Johnny Dalton, Steve & Joe Clafilin and Rob Bridgforth and I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
The weather was calm with no waves no tide just slick as a Mirror, perfect for Black Bay and Breton Sound. We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom.
Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! It was on Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4lbs, everyone was hooking up it was fast and furious!!! Then the bite stopped early.

Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Liz Dalton was Hooked up on a Monster Bull Redfish after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the rig she landed the BEAST, the Monster Bull Redfish all of 45” long and 35.8lbs the biggest Monster Bull Redfish of the Two day of fishing.

Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Steve Clafilin hooked the same Bull after a 10+minuet struggling to keep him out of the rig he landed the BEAST, the Monster Bull Redfish all of 41.5” long and about 35lbs. We were using Live shrimp under a Cajun thunder cork in 2’ of water later in the day for some 2 lbs trout!!!
Everyone but Liz landed a Monster Bull Redfish But she landed two 5lb Trout The day before, But today she landed the biggest Monster Bull Redfish of the Two day of fishing!!! GO GIRL!!!
WHAT A SUCCESSFUL DAY ON THE WATER!!!

We caught 2nd day

3 Monster Bull Redfish (Liz Dalton Bull Redfish 45” long 35.8lbs) (Steve Clafilin Bull Redfish 41.5” long 35lbs)

1 Redfish
23 Speckled Trout ( 2lbs to 4lbs CLASS)
1 Southern Flounder

Waves = 1’
Water Temp = 82 Degrees

Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Joe Clafilin was Hooked up on a Monster Bull Redfish after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the rig he landed the BEAST, the Monster Bull Redfish all of 43” long and about 25lbs.
Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Both hooked the same Bull Redfish Johnny Dalton and Rob Bridgforth after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the rig he landed the BEAST, the Monster Bull Redfish all of 43” long and about 25lbs. This was one hungry Monster Bull Red to eat 2 live croakers and put up one hell of a fight!!! We were using Live shrimp under a Cajun thunder cork in 2’ of water later in the day for some 2 lbs trout!!!
Everyone but Liz landed a Monster Bull Redfish But she landed two 5lb Trout!!!
WHAT A SUCCESSFUL DAY ON THE WATER!!!

6 Monster Bull Redfish (Joe Clafilin 43.5” long 26lbs)
(Both hooked the same Bull Redfish Johnny Dalton and Rob Bridgforth 43” long 25lbs)
(Release another 2 Monster Bullredfish!!!)

30 Speckled Trout ( 2lbs to 5lbs CLASS)(Liz Dalton had two 5lbs Speckled Trout)

7/1/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Shayne Winslow Fishing Team I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Marsh and Bayous due to the strong wind!!!
The weather too windy to fish out side so we went to the Marsh and Bayous!!!
Another successful day on the bayou!!!

We caught
1 Redfish
17 Speckled Trout ( 2lbs to 5lbs Class)

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = 25+
Waves = 2’
Water Temp = 80 Degrees
Water = 6” Visibly
