What a day on the water 6″ ripple, Sunny and warming up to 70 deg.
The fish were on the bottom. We were usuing dead shrimp and minnows.

We caught
4 BULL REDS (limited out)
RELEASED ANOTHER 8 BULL REDS
13 REDS
20 Drums
7 Sheephead
3 Channel Mullets

All caught all this in 2.5 hrs!!!

The VOLPE FISHING TEAM went out on a day that there was more mudflats than water. We went after the BULL REDS!!!
We caught **********************

11 REDS
9 TROUT
6 BASS
WHAT A GREAT DAY WITH THE CONDITIONS WE HAD!!! Everyone got to catch their own bull RED!!! AWESOME!!!

1/1/2003 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Dan, Clayton, Tommy and Matthew came down from Mississippi. The water was so low had launched it from under the Bayou camp right in the mud, slid it out into the bayou. Off we went down Dudenhefer’s Bayou cold, windy and no water. We know It would be a tuff day But the sun was out to help warm things up. 7 Year old Matthew had the best time chumming for the fish with the minnows and mullets. He also caught a Rock Bass. Check out the picures of the fish caught mainly on live minnows!!! At the dock Matthew was feeding the Pelicans Live Minnows Have a good time!!!

1/1/2003 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Florida’s Fishing Team, I was getting the boat ready while the Dudes were having Breakfast. Captain Gene was also getting his boat ready we were each taking out 4 of the fishing team, and the money was on the line. These Dudes were having a good time joking all day. Captain Gene Dugas made the Cover of the louisiana Sportman Magazine this month, and these Dudes were calling him the cover Girl!!! All in just having fun!!! The crew on his boat were in competition with the team on my boat for the biggest fish, and the most fish.
