9/15/2003 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Mark & Maria Buras and I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish the Marsh due to the 20 to 30 miles per hour wind. We had Live Shrimp, Croakers and Dead shrimp. The live white shrimp right now are small 70 – 80 counts. Soon we will be using Cachoe Minnows. The fish will be working their way in a couple of weeks. We need a little cooler weather with some cold fronts and NO Hurricane named ISABEL.
There was no way of fishing the out side today!!!
Mark and Maria Had a great time fishing in some tuff conditions and did well.
Maria Buras was hooked up on a gar and when we got it in the boat she did not want to even get close to all of those teeth!!!
Mark Buras landed a nice 22 in Tout!!!

We caught
8 Speckled Trout
1 Black Durm
3 Croakers
1 Southern Flounder
1 Gar (Released to fight another day)
