2/26/2004 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Captain Dude!!! Costa Rica!!! Fishing Report!!!
Julie Baudier Copeland, Lyn Boudousquie and I were heading out in the Pacific Ocean out of Quepos Costa Rica. We were after taking some great pictures with some Sailfish and releasing them, the waves were 1’ to 3’ and the water was a clear beautiful blue.
I was hooked up ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! On a 30 minuet fight on a Sailfish, this was work I was Breaking out in a sweat, the temperature was in the 80’s and sunny. This fish was jumping out of the water and not stopping. Landed took some quick pictures and Released.
Julie Baudier Copeland was with Fish On!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! This one took a second run and was wearing her out!!! She was in Heaven this is what she enjoys the most.
Lyn Boudousquie also had one hell of a 30 minuet fight ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Her Sailfish was hook where it was bleeding. She was real concerned about the fish making it. So it was a Quick release and all was well!!!
We caught
3 Sailfish about 100+ lbs each (Released them to fight another Day!!!)
We hooked up on another 4 Sailfish just to have them Jump clear out of the water and throw the bait & hook or break the line!!!
In some of the pictures you can see me on the line???
Costa Rica is one Real Beautiful Place with lush landscaping and great fishing!!!

3/9/2004 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish for Dinner in the Marsh and Bayous in search of some Speckled Trout.
Took only 10 Live Cocahoe Minnows that were not doing to well went to one of my hot spots were when the tide is falling the trout would be there. Made a cast with a Live Cocahoe Minnow under a Cajun Thunder Cork Wham!!! A nice 18” trout!!!
After catching 11 Speckled Trout I was out of bait, but I saw a few minnows along the shore, so I threw the cast net on them ended up with 3 Cocahoe Minnows. Started fishing with them and landed a few more, in which two of them were 20” long. Thru some Lures and no luck had to throw the net for some more bait because that is what the trout were feeding on. Ended up with more than Dinner in just 2 hrs, so it was back to the Dock, it was an arsome day to be on the water!!!
I caught
17 Speckled Trout
