6/30/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Joel Morris, Wade Evans and I in Joel’s Boat we started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
It was on to Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4lbs they were biting fast and furious. We were using Live Croakers on the bottom ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!

We caught
1 Speckled Trout (3lbs to 4lbs CLASS)
1 Southern Flounders

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = 5-10
Waves = 1’to 2’
Water Temp = 80 Degrees
Water = 1’ Visibly

7/30/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Water = 1’ Visibly

6/30/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Ben & Susie Vinzant and their daughters Leigh and Bethany I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
The weather was too windy 25+ with white caps even the duck ponds no tide just going to be a tuff day. We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers and Live Shrimp on the bottom. And we were using Live shrimp under a Cajun thunder cork in 2’ of water in the marsh and bayous.
The girls caught a lot of throw back under size fish stingrays Black Drums, trout etc all day!!! We had Plenty of action but no keepers. Another successful day on the Bay
ALSO THANKS TO ED AND DORIS SHAW FOR REFERING this family to go on this fishing trip with me; I had a great time with such nice family.

We caught
9 Speckled Trout
1 Southern Flounder
1 Channel Mullet
4 Black Drum (Released to Fight Another Day)

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = 25+
Waves = 2’
Water Temp = 80 Degrees
Water = 6” Visibly

6/29/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Robert and Cooper Homes and I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
The weather was calm with no waves no tide just slick as a Mirror, perfect for Black Bay. We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Cooper was Hooked up on a Bull Redfish after a 15+minuet struggling to keep him out of the anchor he landed the BEAST, the Bull Redfish all of 30” long and about 15+lbs. This was one hungry Bull Red!!! Then it was on to Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4lbs. We were using Live shrimp under a Cajun thunder cork in 2’ of water.

We caught
1 Bull Redfish (43” long)
60 Speckled Trout

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = Calm 5-10
Waves = 1’
Water Temp = 82 Degrees
Water = 1’ Visibly

6/28/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Dan & Fran Calvert Buch & Kathy I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Dan Calvert was Hooked up on a Monster Bull Redfish after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the rig he landed the BEAST, the Monster Bull Redfish all of 40” long Released to Fight Another Day!!! The next one was not so lucky we put this one in the box for the GRILL!!!

Then it was on to Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4lbs. We were using Live shrimp under a Cajun thunder cork in 2’ of water in some areas and live Croakers on the bottom in some of the deeper water areas. Two successful days on the water!!!

We caught on the 1st day
1 Redfish
17 Speckled Trout (3lbs to 4lbs CLASS)
1 Southern Flounders
1 Sheephead

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = 5-10
Waves = 2’
Water Temp = 80 Degrees
Water = 1’ Visibly

We caught on the 2nd day
1 Bull Red (40”Released to Fight Another Day)
1 Bull Red for the grill (36” long)
40 Speckled Trout (3lbs to 4lbs CLASS)

Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = 5-10
Waves = 1’to 2’
Water Temp = 80 Degrees
Water = 1’ Visibly

Alan Broccoius from Marylyn, Ron & Maxie Mauselle from Organ, Eric & Wanda Klopf from Naples Florida I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Alan Brocoius was Hooked up on a Monster Jack Crevalle after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the rig he landed the BEAST, the Monster JACK all of 30+lbs. Everyone was hooked up on the BIG GIRLS IN THE 3LBS TO 4LBS CLASS ZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!
Another successful day on the water!!!
We caught
3 Redfish
30 Speckled Trout ( IN THE 3LBS TO 4LBS CLASS)
1 Jack Crevalle (Anlan Brocoius Released it to Fight Another Day)

6/21/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Rick, Matt, Ed and Doris Shaw and I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!

We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Ed Shaw was Hooked up on a Bull Redfish after a 10+minuet struggling to keep him out of the rig he landed the BEAST. We were using live shrimp under a Cajun thunder cork for the smaller trout under the birds!!! We had to move from some good fishing spots due to the storm that were popping up everywhere.
Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Doris Shaw almost broke the LAW she caught her limit of redfish and was looking for more but we were saved by the thunderstorm that made us leave them biting!!! We still managed to put together a good box of fish and made into the boat shed just before a hard down poor. Check out the picture by the time we put the fish on the table Rain Rain!!!

We caught
1 Bull Redfish
6 Redfish
6 Speckled Trout
1 Southern Flounders
1 Channel Mullet

6/19/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Gary Vogt, Tom Freeman,C.A. Sprick, Phil Sprick and I the Rummel Rodeo Fishing Team started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
We were fishing in the Rummel Rodeo. It was a slow bite on Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4.lbs. We were using Live croaker on the bottom.
We caught
21 Speckled Trout
1 Southern Flounders

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = 5-10
Waves = 1’to 2’
Water Temp = 80 Degrees
Water = 1’ Visibly

6/18/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Joe Morris, Chad Reese, Howard Ross, Wade Evansl I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!! The weather was calm with no waves no tide just slick as a Mirror, perfect for Black Bay and Breton Sound. We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Wade Evans was Hooked up on a Monster Jack Crevalle after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the propeller, anchor line and everyone’s line he landed the BEAST, the Monster 20+lbs. We also were using Live shrimp under a Cajun thunder cork in 2’ of water.

We caught
1 Bull Redfish (38” long about 20+ lbs)
24 Speckled Trout (2lbs to 3lbs Class)
1 Southern Flounders
1 Jack Crevalle ( 20lbs) (Wade Evans’s Released it to Fight Another Day)

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = 20 miles per hour
Waves = 2’
Water Temp = 80 Degrees
Water = 1’ Visibly

6/14/2005 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Bryan Bruno, Mike Schembre, Kevin O’Brien, Troy Meany I started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish Black Bay and Breton Sound in search of some Trophy Speckled Trout and Monster Bull Redfish!!!
The weather was windy with 1’ waves some tide, perfect for Black Bay. We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Croakers on the bottom. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! They were Hooked up on a Monster Bull Redfishs after a 20+minuet struggling to keep him out of the prop they landed the two Bull Redfish. Then it was on to Trophy Trout, from 3lbs to 4lbs.
Another successful day on the water!!!

We caught
2 Bull Redfish
29 Speckled Trout (all in the 3lb to 4lbs CLASS)

Tide = 1′ Rising
Weather = Partly Cloudy
Winds = 10 to 20 miles per hour
Waves = 1’to 2’
Water Temp = 80 Degrees
Water = 1’ Visibly
