Had the privilege of fishing with Chris Tiblier, Sean McClane and Kelly Walgamotte from MARSH AND BAYOU Magazine we started down Dudenhefer’s Bayou going to fish the Marsh in search of some Bull Redfish and Marsh Trout!!! The weather was 20+ miles per hour and no letting up. We stopped at several of my Hot spots we were using live Shrimp and Live Shad under a Cajun Thunder Cork. Wham!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! The Dude!!! Was hooked up on Bull Redfish. Later Sean McClane Hooked up on another Bull Redfish!!! Another great fish for the GRILL!!! We moved to for some faster action where you would catch three trout and only able to keep one. The range was from 6” to 22”. We moved a few more times. We stopped where I had founded the day before a spot where the shad were on top of the water, I had made a few cast of the cast net and caught 500 nice Shad 1” to 1.5” long. We fished with the shad and they did not work as well as the live shrimp this time. The Marsh is full of small Rat Reds up to 15” long. It won’t be long that they will be big enough for the Grill!!!
We caught
2 Bull Redfish
25 Speckled Trout
