10/27/2002 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

It was a day most people would not go fishing 70% chance of rain, but we were fishing in the marsh near Hopedale.
We had a great time catching Black Drum, Sheephead, Speckled Trout, and Red Drum all with in a 20 minute boat ride.
We had to run in around 10:00 when we saw the rain comming, Back to the Bayou Camp!!!. I cleaned up the fish while John, Jim, Maria, Betty and Coby had lunch. Then we headed Back out for more action found the birds Trout On!!!
We must have let 60 + small trout go!!!

10/19/2002 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Dr. Marse and his fishing team made a day of fishing with the cool front that had just arrived Cool But a little too windy. The trout and Red were the Best eating size, Trout 12″ to 17″, Reds From 16″ to 23″ Great day on the Water!!! It was a day that Captain Dr. Marse Blind folded me and made me take an oath, then took me to some of his secret spots. He likes to drive wide open!!! His Buddys complained about his driving making their Beers Flat He realy shook them up!!! Over all 30 trout 7 Red 3 Black Drum and Released alot of small Trout and Reds. Fished With Live Shrimp, it worked the Best!!!

David Pool and his fishing team came in from Alabama and stayed in the Bayou camp. What a day for Red Fish!!! Captain Gene had a great time putting them on the fish. Just check out the picture of this 43″ 27.5 lb Bull Red!!! They were Fishing With Live Shrimp under a cork.

10/14/2002 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Trout Master Tommy Bickham came down from Mississippi and stayed at the Bayou Camp to get an early start on the some Speckle Trout Action only.  We stoped one time had 36 hungry trout ranging from 12″ to 19″ long by 8:45. The Dude!!! even caught this large Jack that realy took out alot of the line ZZZZZZZZZZZ. Then we started scouting around to check out some of my other <‘)))>< Hot Spots <‘)))>< just so the Trout Master Tommy could get use to the area. We ended up on 4 Quick Red and it was time to go after more trout. We started on the birds nice size trout!!!
Ended the day limited out on Trout and Reds and 3 Drums could have caught more of the Drums but Wanted Trout. FISH ON LEFT THEM BITTING!!! THEY WERE “HUNGRY”.
