2/12/2003 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

What a Quick day on the water we went after some Red Fish. Check out the pictures. The Red Fish were caught on minnows under a cork. This is Saturdays report the Weather Man was wrong We had no rain. But it was COOOLD!!! Lets Go Fishing!!! I have some openings left this month; so if you would like to get in on some Speckled Trout and Red Fish action,

2/5/2003 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Started off down Dudenhefer’s Bayou with Paul, Josh and Lori in the cold, fog, and low water. We were catching a few trout with Mirror lures and Sparkle Beetles the bite was slow.  We were check by the Wild Life & Fisher, in Lake Ameda just doing their job. The speckled trout would not cooperate so we decided to fish the Red.  After being checked we went after some Bull Reds check out the pictures of Lori fighting a nice Red!!!. Josh was using Paul’s 8’ 6” pole called “ <><>THE WEPON OF MAST DISTRUCTION<><> “ and Hooked up on a fighting BULL RED in shallow water!!! After catching some Reds figured we would look for cleaner water on the other side of Oak River for some trout action. Boats everywhere and the trout action was slow – slow – slow for everyone. It was funny watching everyone moving around trying to get on some trout, if one boat caught a trout it looked like another boat would stop. We were Checked again By another crew of the Wild Life & Fisher in Oak River they were very informative in letting us know every one was having a hard time catching fish and they just would not turn on!!!.  I enjoyed fishing with this group they really know how to have a good time even when the Fishing Get Tough. Another great day on the water!!!

2/3/2003 Captain Dude!!! Hopedale / Delacroix Island Fishing Report!!!

Left the dock around 9:00am went after the Mr. Bull Red and some Black Drum.
The fog lifted around 7:45am. Fishing with dead Shrimp on the bottom. Two stops nota. Then the on the next stop fish ON!!! For the next 1hr :30 minutes CAUGHT 3 BOXES OF FISH!!!

4 BULL REDS (LIMITED OUT)
7 REDS TOTAL
20 BLACK DRUM (LIMITED OUT)
15 BAY SNAPPERS
